Boat Equipment The Galley Box
It is nice to be able to brew a nice mug of tea or soup when you are on an adventure on the lake or in the woods. Because a hot drink or a hot meal can make all the difference: Give you the energy and mood to continue.
Of course you could just put that jet boil, gas stove or trangia into your backpack. But there are several advantages by packing all the galley—that's a kitchen on a boat—related stuff into one nice little box.

The benefits
Everything kitchen related in one box
Well, that is obvious, right? The nice thing is, that it doesn't have to stay on the boat or in the car.
The box is blocking the wind
… while you are cooking. That gets the fire started easier and doesn't blow the soup over the deck.
The box is blocking the heat
So you can put it on or near gelcoat without that melting. That's definitly a win.
When you are done, just close it
Well, kill the flame first. But then you don't need to let it cool down. Just close the box and keep on sailing.
